Freight and Shipping

A fairly small update this month, but an exciting one. Current estimates have the ship with the games for the UK and Europe arriving at the port in roughly a week. Once they get through customs and into Spiral Galaxies warehouse, they will do inventory and start shipping them to backers. We expect shipping to begin sometime between the very end of July and the first week of August, barring any issues at Customs.

For Backers in the Americas, the ship should arrive at port in about two weeks. Once customs clear those games, Quartermaster Logistics will be handling fulfillment, and we expect those games to start shipping sometime in the first two weeks of August, also barring any issues with customs.

There will be a little delay for our backers in Asia and Oceania. Due to a miscommunication, the games for those regions were packed in the US shipment and have to be shipped back. Based on the number of copies needed, we hope to do so via air freight to reduce the time it takes to get you the games. We will update you with the expected shipping dates for those games as soon as we have concrete information.

Preorders

Lastly, if you know anyone show still wants to Preorder a copy of PaleoVet, we have shifted preorders over to our webstore. Copies ordered this way will ship out a week or two after Fulfilment completes. So for most people, they could expect to have their games in hand by early September if they order in the next two-three weeks.

Preorders Closed and Games on Ships

A short update for everyone today. The games have left the factory and are now at the port in China. Games heading to the UK and Europe should be on the ship and sailing in the next day or two. Games heading to the US should be boarding the ship and sailing within the next week. Assuming there are no delays on the high seas or with customs at the ports, the games should be with QuarterMaster (for the US) and Spiral Galaxy (for the EU) by the middle of July. Meaning we are on track to start delivering the games to you by early to mid-August.

With that in mind, we have closed preorders so that we can make sure those who have already preordered will get their games at the same time as all of the Kickstarter backers. We will open up orders from our webstore as soon as fulfillment has begun.

We will keep you posted as the games make their multiweek journey across the seas.

Manufacturing Nearly Complete

Manufacturing of the games should be complete this week, so we have spent the last few days meeting and coordinating with our manufacturing, freight, and fulfillment partners to make sure that the process of getting the games from China to the US, Europe, and everywhere goes as smoothly as possible.

One thing that has come up relates to how Quartermaster Logistics handles fulfillment to Canada. Apparently, they can not deliver to a PO Box. We have already sent messages to the handful of Canadian backers this effects, so please check your messages and reply with an alternative delivery address as soon as possible.

Outside of that issue things are moving along smoothly, and we continue to be on track from an August-September delivery time frame. Between issues at the ports and customs, there could still be delays, but we will keep you apprised of any as soon as we know about them.

Production Near Complete, and Locking Addresses

Production will soon be complete, meaning that we are about to formally move into the freight portion of the project, which will involve getting the games to the fulfillment hubs of our partners in the US, UK, and AU. With that in mind, it is time to lock addresses so that we can ensure we are sending enough games to each hub and that you will receive your games in just a few months.

We will be locking addresses as of this Friday afternoon, May 12th. So, you still have a little time to go in and make adjustments if needed. Once we have locked them, you must contact us directly to make any changes.

Barring any issues related to the port and/or customs, the games should be boarding ships in just a few weeks.  This puts us just a little behind our original timeline from the campaign, but we should still be on track for fulfillment in late August/early September. 

We will make sure to keep you updated on the timeline as things move along.

Production in Progress

We received word from Longpack that the production of PaleoVet has officially begun. And they've sent us the below images of the very first copy of everything off the production line. 

The Schedule

So far, everything is on track for the games to complete production and be ready to move to the ship for freight by the end of May. Assuming we don't see any delays there, they should be in transit by early June, and it typically takes 6-8 weeks for the voyage, which will have them arriving are our fulfillment partners around the end of August and beginning to be sent out to all of you by early September. Because there are so many variables, we will give or take a week or two on all of this.

Remaining backers

We are super excited to get the game to all of you. We know you are going to love it as much as we do. However, there are still a few people who still need to complete surveys and/or whose cards could not be charged for shipping. Backerkit should be sending periodic emails to those people, and we will reach out to all of them through Kickstarter. Unfortunately, if those things are incomplete, we cannot send you your copy. So please log into Backerkit and check to make sure PaleoVet is coming your way this fall.
