TokenCon and Surveys

We are getting very close to the point where we need to lock the backer surveys and charge credit cards to finalize freight and shipping plans.

With that in mind, we want to encourage everyone to check their surveys on Backerkit for the following:

• There are still 70 or so incomplete surveys in the system. You need to complete your survey to get your game.
• For our EU and UK backers, there was a glitch with VAT on the first day of the surveys, so please ensure VAT was charged.
• For all backers, double-check your mailing address in the system so we can make sure you get your copy.

TokenCon

We spent this past weekend at TokenCon in Oklahoma City and had a blast. PaleoVet demos were a hit and kept us very busy. We've dropped a few pictures from the Con below.

Survey and Production Update

We wanted to drop a reminder that we will be locking the Backerkit surveys on March 31st so that we can do the final charges for shipping and begin finalizing logistics for freight and shipping. Currently, there are about 90 backers who still need to complete their backer surveys.

If you have a hard time finding or completing your survey, please contact us ASAP so we can help get these done. We want to ensure everybody gets their copy of the game when they start shipping later this year.

Production Update

We have given our production partners Longpack Games, the go-ahead to begin full-scale manufacturing. That should start in the next week or two, and the games should all be manufactured and ready for freight by the end of April. Then, of course, there is the process of arranging freight via cargo ship to our fulfillment partners and finally shipping them out to all of you. Currently, it's looking like all of that is on track to deliver the games in later August or early September. 

For those in the Oklahoma City area, we will be a TokenCon this weekend demoing the production prototype of PaleoVet along with playtesting some other in-development games.

Prototype Pictures!

Things are going great here at Absurdsit HQ, especially since we got the prototype from our manufacturer this weekend. There are many pictures down below, but first, a quick survey update.

So far, we have gotten responses from 80% of backers. This means that 20% of you still need to log in to Backerkit and complete your surveys to ensure we get your games to you later this year. Please let us know if you need help finding your surveys or have any other issues. We want to make sure everyone who backed gets their copy of the game. Based on current timelines, we are still expecting to start shipping to people in late August.

Picture Time

We found a few minor issues with the prototype. One is adjusting the sizes of the deluxe tier playmat and the insert to ensure the playmat will fit in the box. The rulebook also needs to be sized down slightly to make it easier to get out of the box. But overall, the game looks exactly as we envisioned it.

If you are in Oklahoma, we will have the prototype setup for demos at IndigiPop X from the  10th-12th of March and then a week later at TokenCon from the 17th-19th of March.

Surveys and Playmats!

First, we wanted to apologize for the bit of confusion last week with the surveys. In our excitement to get them to you, we jumped the gun a little bit and announced them before they finished going through Backerkit's internal review. So it took several hours from when we told you about them before they started going out. At this point, though, everyone should have their surveys, and if you still haven't gotten them, don't hesitate to contact us. 

About half of you have already completed your surveys already. We are setting a deadline of March 31st to complete your surveys so we can lock orders and continue our coordination with our fulfillment partners.

Playmats

We have gotten the first photo back from Longpack with an image of what the neoprene playmat looks like for the Deluxe version of PaleoVet. They are looking pretty good. 

We will, of course, be doing a much deeper evaluation of them in a few weeks when they send us the physical prototype to examine, and we will make sure all the colors and whatnot are correct then. But so far, things are shaping up well, and we are very hopeful that we won't have any significant corrections to make, which keeps us on track for an August delivery date.

Backer Surveys are on on their way!

Backer Surveys

By now, most of you should have received your backer surveys. We are using BackerKit for this campaign, so if you have yet to see your survey, check your spam folders for emails from Backerkit about PaleoVet.

Update: We jumped the gun a little on this update, the surveys are actually in Backerkit's review process, but should hopefully go out today or tomorrow. We apologize for any confusion and/or stress this might have caused. We were just super excited to finally get the surveys out to you.

Production Update

We have completed all the preproduction of the game files and Longpack, our manufacturing partner, is currently creating the molds for the insert and other custom pieces. We should receive the first physical prototype for review at the end of the month or early March. Once we have it, we will do a video unboxing and review so you can see what we have to look at to confirm the final production.

Here is a little glimpse at the final mold design they sent us to whet your appetite. 

We've designed it to hold both the base game and deluxe upgrade components. And to hold all cards in sleeves. Making sure it can do all that will be part of our review process when we get that prototype in.
